   Gifts from S

   I have been the recipient of many new gifts on this third Motherhood voyage. S has given her brother, sister, father, and me a whole new outlook on life. A few of the more recent gifts she has given, some of which are definitely more appreciated than others:

   1. a reason to call poison control (she ate a marker.)

   2. a chance to perfect my book taping skills

   3. the ability to work out at the Y 3-4 times a week

   4. being able to wake up to her sleeping or smiling face each morning

   5. increased laughter from everyone in the house

   6. proof that babies actually do sleep in cribs

   7. the need for baby gates

   8. an excuse to take daily naps
